Mr. John Billy Koonsman, came down early last week for a '14 day fishing adventure. He has been fishing the past six days. No spot he fished was more than 10 minutes from where they got in the boats. Both John Billy and friend each have a 15lb battler for their big peacock bass to date.

But just to keep them all occupied waiting for a bigger one to give them a chance, they have boated 108 fish from 10-15lbs, 127 from 8-9lbs, and 250 more from 5-7lbs. They did stop at one place that was loaded with small fish, but after catching 43 of those they moved on to where the big boys were hitting. Just for something a little different, John Billy has also been giving the big Payara a try. His largest to date is a 22lb. nobody is probably interested in hearing about the various 10-17lb Payaras he landed.

Hot baits have been the Big Game Woodchopper, Bomber Long A, white skirted titanium spinner baits, and the ever faithful live perch. The two fifteen pound beauties came on the Big Game Woodchopper.

Payara

We bet Mr. Hamano from Japan 1S still dreaming of these monster Payaras at Uraima Falls. He and his team came to Venezuela, exclusively from Japan to make a fishing report of our operation that was quite a job. Thanks for all the support provided from Japan.

Mr. Hamano is a famous architect who travels all over the world fishing the most exclusive destinations available today. He fished Uraima Falls during 5 days at very extreme low water levels conditions, he managed his style and landed very respectable size payaras, Aimaras and the very rare and hard to get Curbinata.

We are building a new frontier of fishing trips to Venezuela, Venezuela-fishing.info and Pavon Payara is making all the necessaries improvements to provide the best service available for international anglers.

Our fishing destinations in Venezuela are back to normal mode, we are 100% operational and ready for many fishing seasons to come, please drop us a line.

Do not hesitate to contact us for information about our lodges, fishing destinations, tackles, and travel logistics or just to say hello. We will be available at any time. Just let us know you are there.
